Welcome to Book Reading Habit. By accessing or using this app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Book Reading Habit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old to use Book Reading Habit — or older where the law of your country sets a higher minimum age.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Book Reading Habit for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms of Use.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Modify, adapt, or hack the app
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code
  • Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app or its servers
  • Impersonate any person or entity

In-App Purchases

Book Reading Habit offers in-app purchases to unlock additional features. By making a purchase:

  • You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes
  • Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law
  • Transactions are processed by Apple through their App Store
  • You can manage subscriptions and auto-renewal through your Apple account settings

Apple's payment terms also apply to any purchases made through the app.

iCloud Integration

If you choose to use iCloud synchronization, you acknowledge that:

  • Your data is stored according to Apple's terms and conditions
  • You are responsible for managing your iCloud storage
  • We are not responsible for any data loss due to iCloud service issues

Reading Groups

Reading Groups let you create or join a private reading group with other people, using a nickname, an avatar and the reading information you choose to share. By taking part in a group you agree that:

  • You will treat other members respectfully and will not use a nickname, avatar or shared content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing or otherwise unlawful, or that impersonates another person.
  • You are solely responsible for the nickname, avatar and activity you share with a group, and you keep ownership of it.
  • A group’s owner may rename the group, set which kinds of activity it accepts, and remove or ban members at their discretion. Joining a group does not entitle you to remain in it.
  • Groups are hosted on participants’ own iCloud accounts, not on our servers. We do not monitor, moderate or control the content other members share, and we are not responsible for it or for the conduct of other members.

We may limit or remove access to the Reading Groups feature for anyone who violates these terms. If you believe a member is behaving abusively, leave or delete the group and contact us.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Book Reading Habit, including all intellectual property rights, remain with us. The app name, logo, and all related graphics are our trademarks.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Book Reading Habit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Book Reading Habit, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users or us.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and the last-updated date below reflects the latest revision.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you use the app as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live that cannot be set aside by agreement.
